Directions to Mt. Olive Rock

This crag is located beyond the turnoff from KY 498 to The Motherlode. To find it, drive a full 2 miles down KY 498 past the turnoff until it ends at KY 52. Turn right and drive 2.8 miles to a small pulloff on the right between some guardrails. Walk down the road 150 feet and locate a dramatic, left-facing dihedral on the cliff to your left, which is "South Side of the Sky".

the poison ivy is already covering the hillside, the sport climbs are ok at best and not worth the agony that follows

There is potential here. What is up with the abandoned route to the left of Palm Friction? There are more potential trad routes. And boulders strung everywhere. What is up with the roof route Joe Haynes bolted there too? It isn't listed here.

Bees nest at the bottom of the hill over the summer. Just be careful where you walk if you want to avoid the 9 bee stings I got ;)
