Anybody use them? Do they really work in flared and weird placements like the ads say? Just curious....wonder if they are worth the money or if I should stick with the regular TCU's (which I love). _________________ "The Mountains are my church and climbing is how I worship" - Tommy Caldwell |

| They're really useful for pin scars, which the Red doesn't have. So, no. |

i have the offset aliens. i covet them. they are all that is holy and wonderful on my rack. i don't get to use them often, but when i do, they give me boners!
seriously, they really are that bodacious, but i wouldn't buy them unless i got a deal or i had some money burning holes in my pockets. _________________ Yo HO!! Just got me a code red and some funyons big dawg!!! SHIT YEAH! - Ray, excited about his breakfast |

| A friend of mine is raving about the metolius offset tcu's. But I wouldn't buy any unless you already have all the other gear you need because they are only useful for some very specific placements. Most of which you won't see around here. |

Thanks for the advice...That was kinda my thinking....maybe too specialty for me. I like versatility in my gear...I dont have to carry as much that way! _________________ "The Mountains are my church and climbing is how I worship" - Tommy Caldwell |

I had the three smallest offset aliens for awhile, and they did get a bit of use in the red and new. Not the first gear to buy, but if you are pretty well set otherwise, they are cool to have. Seem to be esp. nice for the thiner, face type gear routes. _________________ "There is no secret ingredient"

a guy who kindly showed me around Yosemite used the blue slinged offset on just about every pitch we did. as others noted, incredibly useful in pin scars. _________________ 'really ?' -fluffy |

I agree. I like my offest aliens, even in the red. esp for thinner placements..the red does not have alot of parallel cracks, they all have nuances. _________________ Positive vibes brah...positive vibes. |
