4 bolts to open cold shuts

the "open" cold shuts are too narrow to take a 10.2 rope

Can it still be cleaned like a normal shut, or is the "hole" too small for a rope? That'd be strange...

the distance between the end of the open shut and the bolt head was too narrow for me to jam the rope into, so no I had to clean it by going on direct and untying

may be a bit soft, but it was still pretty cool

the small crimps can be pretty rough on the tips, especially when they start to go numb. The chimney rest at the third bolt is a send saver

The consensus grade is 5.12a at the present time. I guess the standard steep RRG climber struggles with 5.11 vert.

Sweet climb! Perfect crimps all over but almost every single one has a tick mark on it. I'll brush them off once I send :p

So when I have kids in ten years they'll still be able to see the tick marks?

Ten years? Gonna take longer than that to find a dude willing to knock you up

I'm pretty sure this is a Brian McCray route.
