we climbed this today before realizing it was the "closed" route. didnt see alot "wrong" with the bolts besides maybe one in the middle with a bit of fractured rock..ceretainly not the worst rock anyone has sunk bolts into. If it stays, it needs it s own anchors straight up....

Oy! Where was the red tag? Did the same thing as Pigsteak today . . . Placements were OK, but less than choice rock. Kinda spooky in fact . . . We used the anchors over the chimney. Agree with Pigsteak, it definitely needs it's own anchors, and NOT way up on the ledge.

I'll add anchors to this route, probably next week. Ian

Third bolt held a few lead falls. Didn't think to inspect them and sent our newbie climber up first. He was doing a good job of clipping at his waist or he would've had the 4th bolt clipped. Didn't like the placement of 1 and 2 since we went up the arete.

BTW, this route does have it's own anchors now.
