A one star route with a three star descent, no kidding.

There are two hand cracks on the right side of the island. Which handcrack is Indian Castle? Or, is this to say, there are handcracks on the island, the one you use is the one on the right?

This route is the more vertical of the two off widths on this side of the crag. Not very hard the roof is the crux and it is pretty easy. It protects well I found, with options off to the left and right of the actual crack, although a 5” or even a 6” cam can come in handy. Only about 35 feet tall, the descent inside the crag is the real adventure with this one. Enter the labyrinth and stay roped up all the way down is my advice, then pull the rope through. We did it by setting up an anchor on the top using a 1, 2, and 4 inch cam and a long cordelette and TR’d it, only the last person made the full journey through the interior. Small kids can have fun on the bottom, and older kids 7 and up can probably send it. Lowering kids down through the interior can probably work for a supper fun adventure.
