I was at the RRG, trying to find Chimney Top Road. The directions weren't correct. Here's what they should be: "Coming from Route 11, drive 2.7 miles past Sky Bridge Drive along KY 715 to a gravel road (marked Chimney Rock Road) on the left which leads to Half Moon, ..." Bernie [email protected]

Very fun, but very short.

If you're going to do it, which I recommend, bring some large gear and do the chimney pitch above as well.

I hiked Rough trail this last weekend and it was one of the toughest physical activities that I have ever done. The ascent's up are no joke, especially when you are carrying camping gear in your pack. we had a pretty good pace and averaged about a mile per hour. Be prepared for a grueling, exhausting trip if this isn't something that you do very often.
