The hike up the hill is long and steep. Just keep going till you see the big cliff. The new guide book says it's about 0.5 miles to when you start hiking up but it is more like 0.25 miles.

approach wasn't too bad but hopefully this will help you avoid the rhodo jungle: go past the brown rusted gate following a grassy trail/field heading north/northeast. you'll cross a narrow creek and follow a faint trail which should be starting to go more northeast. follow the trail until starts to round the bend on the right on an old logging trail. head up the hill (southish). the main wall will get bigger. once you pass between 2 giant boulders, start angling left up the hill to avoid the rhodo. after a couple of hundred feet, you will obviously start angling up and right. this should leave you at nickel.
