Porter hangers

I have agreed to write some materials on how to sustainably rebolt routes as well as do some videos for the Access Fund. I have a variety of old hardware to show what's out there and how to remove it (rusting 5-piece, wedge, buttonhead, etc) but also want to show what to look for in hangers (Leeper,...

Yeah man, wide and steep. Currently unsent to my knowledge. I also have another wide roof route for you - Crumbling Reality. Super cool, also in the Platte. Feel free to shoot me an email anytime as I don't frequent this site much: [email protected]

I was there when that happened and am surprised no one has done it since then, as that was at least 5 years ago. I think it'll go actually. Matt - can't wait to come back brother, can not wait!

It sounds like the lower elevation peaks are in but the Diamond itself has a lot of snow. The Keyhole route is sort of the tourist hike on it, with the most ...

I live out here and wouldn't mind doing a route or two if you need a partner. FYI, the Diamond is still very snowed in, we've had a huge snow year.

Re: Flat Irons

I need to know about routes (5.8 or less), camping, how long would it take to drive there from Lexington, and any other info you want to share. Is it really as runout as I hear it is? John, we met at Tackett's a few years ago one night. Anyway, I wrote the new color guidebook to the Flatirons. If y...

Jordan Wood onsight free soloed this about a year ago. I remember him telling me one of the upper 5.9 pitches that was really loose spooked him pretty good. I liked the route, but I roped up for it however.
