Re: Fly'n Brian

I have been on many long walks through what seems like uncharted land and untouched rock at the red. The times that I have been most convinced I am the first rock climber to see said piece of cliff, Brian beat me there. Brian was one of the first to lay eyes on what is know known as the mother lode....

Travel the last few hundred yards of the pavement to coal bank with caution. A few years back there was a good size sheet of black ice that caused a few expensive headaches for some folks

Our very own Paul Vidal

2013 was a great year for the RRGCC. The highlight certainly being the RRGCC making a huge step in its own going effort to securing and protecting open, public access to rock climbing in the Red River Gorge area of Kentucky and promoting conservation of the environment on the lands where we climb. Re: Miller Fork Lot

Mike is humble husband and father. He is a dedicated self employed carpenter who breaks away from his family and livelihood to fulfill the desires of hundreds of RRG climbers that will likely never know who he is or what he does. Mike has been working on the MFRP and Flat Holler parking lot projects...

Re: Gates closed and locked

The only gates on the PMRP are from the oil company to limit vehicle traffic up what would become a difficult drive. Most of them are not locked. That is why we have dedicated parking areas. Re: Gates closed and locked

For the record the PMRP and MFRP are open, they always have been and always will be. There are no gates to lock only trails to hike and routes to climb.

Please enjoy these wonderful assets that we as a climbing community own and love.

See you at Rocktoberfest!!
