I check every critical point, every time. I do it in the gym and outside. People definitely get lazy. I also try to keep an eye one whether people get in the habit of holding the gri gri rather than the rope in the their hand...that is nasty one.

Late Nov can get very cold if you are camping. I had some frigid nights in my car with a warm bag. The days can be pretty spectacular and the crowds die down once Miguel's closes!

Unfortunately I think I agree with piggie on the fact that the whole hardening idea was a scam on the bureaucrats part, trying to beat us with a war of attrition. And they essentially won. All I have to say is thank you to the RRGCC and the Access Fund for the PMRP!!!

Nice one Ray...I grabbed it as soon as I heard about it. It is the app I use most right after Mail, google maps, and NYC subway maps.

Prime Directive certainly had one of the more technical sections I have climbed in the red.
i agree with medows, i think the head is the number one limiting factor. i think that movement and tactics and strength will all come if you train your mind. not being afraid to push yourself, not being afraid to fall, not being afriad to climb beyond the bolts, not being afraid to climb while pumpe...

i am so glad i sent mushroom roof. i am still pissed at those guys. I would love to try for the triple crown (hueco version, right el murray, center el murray and mushroom roof in a day). i will probably wont be in shape for that for a while but you never know. i hate the park service there... what ...
