i got my start in an apparently very dangerous way. my partner and i had been backpacking at the red for years and decided to take up climbing. read freedom of the hills and pretty much every john long book and went outside and led my first route with my also beginning partner. i took no undue risks...

i see what you are saying. i don't believe it's necessarily irrelevant due to the fact that the good ol standard 5 piece is what most of us are used to and a good frame of reference, but i get you.

jeopardize access? you mean access to the land that we own as free men?

closing of all national forests was a ploy. plain and simple. it worked, but it was a ploy none the less.

it's paved and very nice...the gate is closed in the winter so you can't really go up when it's not nice out.

i'll be on an ap chemisry professional development in bowling green. from 6/27 -30.

i'd love to blow off a day and do some climbing at the small crags around there.

I had to replace my defective cat about a year ago. Going rate for it as scrap was $50. I would imagine the value of the metals has gone up if it's changed. Pretty sure they contain Bromium in addition to Platinum. As far as replacing, do tell where you can get a new one for a couple hundred bucks....
