5.15 in the Red?

Recent R&I, in the "No Spain, No Gain" article states there are more 5.15's in the small area covered than in all of North America. Not that I will ever be climbing anything close, but it made me curious. It seems such hard climbs are partly made because of the level of climbers in a given place. So...
