I used to climb every weekend in the Red and in the gym during the week but haven't climbed in a while. I have a wall in my garage and can go to rockquest as well. Re: How bad was it?

I went out Saturday and didn't see one person at the crag I was at aside from who I was climbing with. Empty all day. Sunday, well I was still feeling Satarday night and got nothing done.

I usually go to miguels and have been to land of the arches but havent stayed enough to say yes or no to your question. I wouldn't think that it would be...

Re: ACCESS TO ROADSIDE - closed unttil further notice

Wow, so I haven't been climbing much the last few months, or on RRC site, due to putting all my time in with the police academy. I graduated last week and got on the site today for the first time in months and I read this. Really guys, WTF.. What a bummer. I had some unfinished business at Roadside ...

Re: Recovery: What am I missing?

I would also like to add that the month off is great for the mental aspect of boredom with training (not climbing). I am 95% positive most of us that actually train, hate the process. It gets boring. I don't want to get back on that wall and run through another battery of bouldering problems I have...

Re: Recovery: What am I missing?

Well I was going to add to this but this is getting retarded. If you wanna take a month off of climbing or training because your body isn't tolerating it after 4 days on, then have at it. Over working your tendons and your body all week and then stopping for a month to recover is by far the best sol...

You run or exercise all winter and I'll train lightly and come spring we'll put that statement to the test.

Re: Recovery: What am I missing?

So the solution to not get injured during climbing season is to quit for a month? Interesting. absolutely..if you have been pushing it during your peak season, you have so many micro trauma/tears that you don't even realize how tight/close to serious injury you are...take a full month off, and you ...

I agree too... Back in gym Thursday after 4 weeks off... :)

Re: The ongoing weekend idiot report

Well I watched a kid who was a steward at Muir decided to take a crowbar up a new wall after the wall filled with people to knock off loose holds. That was interesting considering not only the fact that there were people below, but also that just within the hour or so we were there, each route had b...
