Re: Miller Fork

I went to the PMRP last weekend and all I saw were massive amounts of erosion, soil compaction along cliff lines, a cliff line ecosystem destroyed, a network of trails that are washing into the streams below, the clear cutting of 6'-8' wide trails that are immediate erosion concerns, a general igno...

Re: Miller Fork

Dustonian, I think you need a $25 donation, to refill your karma bowl! ynp1 - Whereas I don't disagree with everything you have said in this forum, I do think this one was way off. How about anytime someone clips a bolt that Dustin, or Kipp, or whatever developer has placed... then that someone don...

Re: Favorite Easy Trad Route?

milspecmark - soloing is bad advice

Diamond in the Crack is a fantastic route, it goes at 5.6, but it's a great easy multi-pitch trad route.

Mighty Edison I thought was awkward, which made it feel hard for the grade... I would not recommend it.

Re: RRG Test Pieces - 12a,b,c,d

Iniquity is not a test piece for the grade at all! And some people are starting to say the boulder problem start is optional?? That's a load of BS! (At least I read one person comment about this on 8a.nu). If you don't do the boulder problem on Iniquity then you climbed an 11+ at most... with the b...

Re: RRG Test Pieces - 12a,b,c,d

although I start on the ground Isn't that how you start every rock climb?? (With just a few exceptions, i.e. - Non Starter.) If people are starting TMP from the boulder, that's BS... invalid ascent! I guess I mis-spoke when I said it was low-end 12a... I guess I'd say Manifest Destiny (this one is ...

Oh, and Triple Sec is 12c... not even close to a test piece 12d (compared to say, 8-Ball)... Jesus Wept (for me) is harder than Triple Sec

Re: RRG Test Pieces - 12a,b,c,d

I thought Jesus Wept felt easier than Hellraiser. Maybe you just suck at vert and I suck at steep? Maybe?! I think Jesus Wept took me 4 times more tries than Hellraiser... I always thought I was better at vert because I learned to climb at Seneca and the NRG... Like I said about Too Many Puppies......

Re: RRG Test Pieces - 12a,b,c,d

I think it's funny to hear what people think is a "test piece" for the grade... I'm sure people disagree with the list that I posted, and that's all fine and dandy... but like I said, I think it comes down to style... I'm not a great endurance climber, but put a boulder problem low on a route and fo...

Re: RRG Test Pieces - 12a,b,c,d

12c Hellraiser, Jesus Wept Haha... these 2 routes are on a completely different level in my opinion... I don't understand how you can put them at the same grade... if you call them both 12c, then Hellraiser is the easiest 12c in the gorge in my opinion... and jesus wept is the hardest. They don't e...
