Ride Needed from Southern Ontario, for Rocktoberfest

I'm really hoping to get down for Rocktoberfest (plus maybe a couple days before or after), but don't have a dependable car. I'm in Toronto, but could get myself to anywhere else in southern Ontario. If you're going and have room, let me know.

Re: The crowds are not going away... So what do we do?

Y'all are forgetting one of the best reasons to go to the Red: bourbon! But seriously, I think the biggest reason folks from Ontario (and New York) are going there in droves is advertising. Magazines, word of mouth, youtube videos, etc. In the last 2 weeks, I've had 4 separate Ontarians email me or ...

3 months with tendinitis in my foot. In the next 2 months, I improved from doing two 5.7's in an evening to doing four climbs 5.9 and under. Then I sprained my ankle and was out for another 2 months. Took me a year to get decent mobility back in my foot/ankle. Three years later, I still don't redpoi...

Benadryl'ed the heck out of it on Friday. Swelling was minimal on Saturday and Sunday. Monday and today it was puffier again. The eye itself is itchy (but not the sting sites). And my vision is blurry when I look down. I saw a doctor today. He didn't know why it's blurry or itchy. I wondered if I ru...

So Canuck, you are Norma i take it. You are the lady that was stung on Whipstocking Friday, and you are saying that those shoes were there before you arrived? Yup. And someone who was there earlier suggested they'd been there for several days. Saxman, I'm typing with my fingers, not my eye.

The shoes aren't mine. They were there first thing in the morning, before the first group of people arrived.

Ok, fine. One more post. Sorry And we now have even more reinforcement to attach the locking beaner to the two harnes loops. Actually, I think this is reinforcement to not attach to the two harness loops. You want your gri-gri to sit vertical at the end of the fall, which means you want your biner t...

Since Michelle has mentioned my name... To my knowledge there are 3 things that can cause a gri-gri to not engage (this is not gri-gri failure, it's a failure of the user to know what the gri-gri will and won't do). 1. pinch the cam (or hold the lever open) so that it can't engage. (we've all discus...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when chalk or sticky rubber shoes were introduced, existing climbs were not downgraded. It just made it more possible for more people to climb harder grades. Why should increased use of knee-pads be any different?

What is this "performance day" or "training day"? My goal is usually just to get out of town and away from school/work, so I don't snap and kill someone.
