So if those completely different set of arbitary rules set by a precedent cause access issues and an unsustainable situation and environment, should a new precedent by made? Just becuase PD work at other areas in the US doesn't mean they are ok at the Red.

I agree with Piggie, opening new cliffs can lead to more over crowding. Infrastructure like roads and parking lots needs to be addressed before more cliffs are open. IMO crowding is directly related to the amount of climbing available and more climbing means more climbers.

I agree that your draws hung for the day is about really the most any climb needs. That's how it went for the 80% of the project climbing I did. You either sent your climb first thing hanging them and had that to spray about or you used the hanging the draws burn to brush holds and go over the moves...

Agreed the New is better(imo), three reasons people don't go there:

camping is limited, expensive and sucks
when it rains you're screwed
no common hang out scene like Miguel's - Roger's is close but not really..
