Re: Micro Traxion Questions

Yeah, definitely weight the rope with the weight of your pack. Feeds MUCH smoother that way. I'd get a DMM Master Carabiner, or something like it, because ordinary pear shaped lockers allow the micro to get twisted along the spine of the biner and that's a really uncomfortable feeling. Re: Micro Traxion Questions

Use them all the time.

Two mini-traxions
Chest harness/slings
DMM Master Carabiner for the top mini
steel biner for bottom mini
static rope/10.5
bomber anchor at top
weight bottom of rope with bag
daisy chain
prussiks
ipod

No overhanging routes, too much of a hassle.

Re: Under Armor/Constriction

But it is warm. If I get cold, THEN I got constriction... and nobody wants that. Seriously, can the constriction contribute to lactic acid build-up, thus, the pump?

Under Armor/Constriction

Anyone else notice when you climb in Under Armor, and it's supposed to be snug, that you get forearm pump a lot faster than usual, and that it takes longer to de-pump afterwards?

I'd give it a "5". Just too busy with everything else it seems. Hoping 2011 is better.

Re: Looking for a woman climbing partner

Hey, give the guy a break. Makes a lot of sense to find someone who shares his interests. Far better than trolling the singles bars, then discovering he's found a lush whose idea of staying active is playing bingo. And, "(60) looking for (40+)" is not so laughable. If I were in my 40s and shopping ...
