Papa Love Jugs - guidebook says 11.D. Felt about right, maybe soft 12 after I broke off one of the crux holds. Either way, stellar route, candidate for ATF.

I usually tie a overhand knot around my sack and hope for the best.

Going to the Red with Non Climbers

Going to take some non climbers climbing this weekend. I've been to Bruise Bros way too much. Any other suggestions. I should probably stay under 5.9 and don't have trad gear. Thanks,

The bolt before the anchors on Up Yonder is sketchy. It's spinning fairly hard and since the route is very pumpy a lot of people blow going for the chains. I did last weekend and almost hit the ground with the bolt holding my ass, if it hadn't I probably wouln't be posting this right now.

I've been to sandrock, its REALLY BAD. There are some short sport routes, nothing listed online. The place is littered w/ graffiti and broken beer bottles. The bouldering is most definitely worse than the sport routes. Go to HP40, or Rocktown.

Little Rock City Triple Crown

Just wandering if anyone wants to carpool this weekend. I have to be back super early Sunday Morning so I won't be around for the dyno/speed comp this year. Hit me up if you want to save some dough on gas.

A hint on Papa, after you're finished slapping up the Huecos (super rad), hit a crimp rail, match, and go big out left to the arete and ride jugs to the chains.

DO NOT buy and Edelweise rope! I bought a 10.5, it magically became obese and nolonger fit throught my gri gri. It was hyper expensive and probably the biggest piece of shit I've ever owned.

With the exception of Papa Love Jugs, all my "hard" onsights/redpoints have been slab or gently overhung routes. Just thought I'd toss that out there.

In the way of my projects, I think it will be the same as every year, Infectious. Although I'll probably go there once, climb it one hang (again), get pissed, and go send other soft 12's throught the year.
