Re: Lost Rope at Phantasia

hey Cacovangor - there was a thread on something that was left at the gorge here: http://www.redriverclimbing.com/viewtop ... 82#p275153 maybe post up in there or DM that user and see if it's your rope.

Re: Clarksville TN

Try making a weekend trip to climb Nashville and meet some of the local climbers there -- lots of ppl go to king's bluff from time to time even though it is kind of chossy. You should be able to get in touch with a crew of pretty decent climbers.

Anything Dry at the Red Right Now?

Has anyone climbed there in the last week? With all this rain going on and it being the dead of winter (likely more run off and less evaporation) -- is anything DRY? Are conditions climbable?

If so, which Crags have you been to that the rock was still dry?

Thanks!

Re: Best Rainy Day Sport Crags at the Red

That's a very solid point Ascentionist -- ran into the same problem the other week at the zoo after a long period of heavy rain. Both Scar Tissue and Hippo were NASTY and i thought they would be desert dry.

Best Rainy Day Sport Crags at the Red

From a summer full of rainy days and introducing new climbers to the sport, here's some of the stuff I've come up with for the best rainy day crags at the gorge. This list is broken down by some classics for each grade that stay dry in a downpour. PLEASE post with your favorites, as it doesn't look ...

Favorite Red River Gorge Climbing Videos

Does anyone have any particular videos (the lesser known/more abstract the better) of the Red River Gorge? I'm working on a new Kentucky Rock Climbing Media page for my website, and I'd be interested to hear thoughts from the community at large of what you would like to see posted. http://www.elemen...

Re: Top Routes for the Grade at the RRG

I honestly didn't have a great time on bandolier -- probably because it was 31 degrees outside and I couldn't feel a damn thing. That being said, the list has been updated with a lot of feedback from all over the place, the response has been pretty awesome. http://www.elementalclimbingclub.com/blog/...

Re: Top Routes for the Grade at the RRG

IMO I honestly had way more fun on Bathtub than I did on Super Dario aside from the flake feature up high which was amazing. Also, didn't have a wonderful, memorable experience on Jack in the Pulpit or F+B...maybe I need to revisit. Wildfire is one badass mother of a line, and Thunderclinger got thr...

Good thought on OJ, I've never been on steelworker but heard that it is burly. I've added 27 years and King me to the list as well as Nagypapa at 13d and Mercy the Huff at 12b. Would love to hear more feedback
