Re: Advice to new climbers

Why all the preaching on this forum but none over at the gunks forum? You know where all that other speculation is. Odd concept that the potential for someone to be stressed triumphs over the dissemination of information that could prevent a fatality. +1 ^

Re: Advice to new climbers

Regardless its a good point to make as it has killed climbers in the past. Frankly I had no idea a merchant could sell you a spliced piece of webbing if you asked for a specific length, and I'd venture to guess I'm not the only one who was oblivious.

Re: Looking to climb this weekend

Yeah, and OSU figured if you can't beat em, hire one of their former head coaches. Something to be said for a school who decides a poisonous nut produced from a fugly tree makes a perfect mascot.

To paraphrase Russell Brand, reading between the lines I assume this to be a covert homosexual advance. Thank you for the flattery, word of my physique must have reached you.

Re: Armstrong pullup program

BS??? Pullup = Latissimus Dorsi + trapezius = prime movers. Bi's, tri's, delts, core = dynamic stabs. Can tweak any of them potentially but all see various gains from pullups. Sudden relaxation of the latissimus dorsi transfers weight directly to the long head of the tricep. If the tri's aren't prop...

Re: Armstrong pullup program

Back, bi's, tri's and shoulders. Granted tri's don't take the majority of the load but they stabilize. Depending on form, grip and muscular development they might take more of a pounding in some than others. Not unheard of for people to tear tri's as the result of pullups either. Course you could al...

Armstrong pullup program

If you want to increase your pullups give it a look. U.S.M.C has been suggesting it to applicants for years to help them reach their pft goals, and it gets results in 3-6 weeks. Not saying pullups are necessary or even important to climbing, but some people have an unscientifically based belief that...
