Re: internet access

Was actually just checking out Sky Bridge Station! I'm planning on working morning and evening (probably with that beer), leaving afternoons for climbing.

Re: internet access

Thanks for the info!

Looks like libraries may be the best. Is the wifi at Miguel's ok?

internet access

I'm planning a week and a half trip, and hoping to do some work while I'm there- I just need internet access. Anyone have beta on a reliable internet connection (that can do video calls)?

Thanks!

Re: Spray list

BTW, all the route-interaction stuff.. add project, etc... doesn't work (when using google chrome) unless the page has JUST refreshed.

If you had mentioned earlier you were climbing with a girl you might have gotten more volunteers.

Probably wasn't intended, but I got a kick out of the whole 'no one is above aid climbing' since you're pulling down on the gear.

Re: Dreaming

Have you looked at Thailand? Expensive travel, cheap once you're there.
Australia seems to have some varied types of rock, no clue how close it all is though.
France and Spain offer climbing and cultural experiences.

Re: Route Recommender

Funny you mention that.. I'd really like to know the developer for each route, and when they set it. Everyone seems to have a style. Say I really like Porter routes- it'd be nice to seek more out. Or maybe Mr. Piglovely has a tendency to bolt soft routes, so I know I can walk his 11d, but maybe leav...

Route Recommender

All this talk of the new guidebook has me thinking… I think it'd be beneficial (or at minimum, cool) to have a route recommendation section for the online guidebook/forum. I'm thinking unique recommendations per user profile- Pandora-esque. Perhaps in a section on the RRCGuide home page. It’d also b...

Re: True north for sale again

All I see on that link is a vague and optimistic description of KY outdoors. Any more detail than that?

Re: partner needed 12/23/12

can I? I was gonna climb all day on my long standing projects with people I really enjoy climbing with, but putting up easy routs for you to top rope thrash on is a much better alternative. I can even teach you how to belay and check for bad gear placements Slammed. Who knows though- maybe his easy...

Re: Micro Traxion Questions

serious question..you guys really go out and rope climb without a partner..in 20 plus years of climbing it has never entered my mind. id just go bouldering or to the gym. It's a different experience. I enjoy what's required of me when climbing alone. Typically I run a very simple system (for top ro...

Re: Personal Grades

I like the system.. seems pretty equitable.
In general, shouldn't grades always be taken with a grain of salt;- there's so much that can't be captured in one grade.
