Rapelling help

Sorry for the n00b question but I'm new to trad. All the forms that I've read about rapelling from a tree mention leaving webbing behind. I have also noticed that most of the trad routes in the guide book state rap from a tree. So what method do you use? I've heard about the Texas rope trick. but wh...

It was quite cool in the morning. well under the 100 pt rule and i think everyone wanted to get up ea...

Passive Rack Part II (Routes)

Staying toipc of my last post.( the one about the all passive rack) I'm looking for routs that can go all passive. Anything up to 5.9 If possible list Route Grade and wall. I'm going down this weekend and I'm looking for a place to learn where I won't be bugging all who can climb trad. I realize tha...

The P. Heist Rockway to Heaven 5.6 In Muir

So I'm kinda confused on this one... I read the guide and couldn't figure it out. The crack leads left past the Anchors on the offering right? I wasn't entirely sure when I lead it so I just climbed to the anchors on the offering ang called it my variation. There was also a Huge spider in a web that...

That's kinda why I wanna go all passive for now. eventually I will mix in the cams.

All Passive Rack

So I did a search and couldn't find anything on all passive racks in the red. Why is this? I'm new to trad and I don't want to fork out the money on cams. My rack includes a set of BD Stoppers (4-13) , Ste of Tri cams (2,3,3.5 and 4-7) and a set of Curved Hexes (1-7) plus a bunch of biners, slings, ...
