Pictures of the problem would help. We have to know what the problem looks like to wrap our minds around it. I have a digital camera. I will be waiting, watching, storing data. It will be black and white, 0's and 1's, on or off. There will be no grey. There will be no gray. I hope I am clear about t...

Somewhere between these two gyms, between these two states, lies the truth. Who will we, the climbing community, believe? Will it be the man from "The Commonwealth" or will it be the man from the "Land of Indians"? How well do we know these two? This gunslnga and J-Rock? I think we should have a vot...

No Artsay, I for one don't think you are totally naive. I think you simply give some undeserving people to much credit. I have seen no positive changes in user behavior (crag behavior), since I started climbing 11 years ago. In fact, it has gotten worse. But maybe I have blinders on. After all, each...

Steve, I think some of us has said as much. It is different in todays' world. I hold doors open for people and more often than not they never say "thank you". I however, and always in a voice loud enough for them to hear, say "you're welcome". Sometimes this so confuses them that their brain goes in...

I like Moonbeam. Nice words. Lawyers.......? Let's do some math. Simple math from a simple man. Let's just say that there is an average of 10 climbers a day for 20 days per month for 6 months of the year factored at $1 per person per day, then if my math is correct then there should be $1200 per yea...

Now we are truly talking! Remember this, people do what they want to do. If they "choose" to be ignorant, then that is not a passive act. It is just the path of least resistance. When we catch them in the "act of ignorance" then it's time a lesson.

I almost positive that I read in Mark's post above that he gives his permission to use his posted statement for any use that you see fit. Is that what you are talking about Paul? I hope it's something else.

Re: POTENTIAL CLOSURE OF TORRENT FALLS CRAG

I was going to close the crag until I brought the subject up to the RRGCC board members. Fortunately, they had their board meeting at Torrent this past weekend. Upon their recommendation, I am keeping the crag open until the enclosed rules are met. But if these rules are not strictly r [/b] I find ...
