it would have been nice if clinic locations had been posted in advance. seeing a group of 30 climbers decend on the lines you have planned to do for the day was disheartening and a word of warning in advance would have been appreciated. though meeting lynn hill was okay too.

have you stopped by rock-sport yet? most of the people from louisville who climb in the red work out there during the week. i climb on mondays and wednesdays if you need a catch, usually from 6:30 to 9. I haven't been hitting the red much lately because of the heat, but hopefully come september that...

I personally wouldn't trust an alien to hang my keys off of. Quality with CCH has been terrible lately. Someone even decked in the Red when an Alien failed on Sauder's Crack. Rumor is that even post-recall dimpled cams have failure mechanisms due to QC. I'd buy them if i could hyraulically pull-test...

miguel's activity

I'll be heading down for the weekend and was hoping for a report on the level of activity at Miguel's lately. The few times i've stayed there in memory the quiet hours were not enforced at all and i spent most of the night unable to sleep because of drunken bon-fire antics. However, it is the most c...

Muscle Beach This Weekend?

A few friends and I are heading to Muscle Beach on Sunday if the weather holds. Off-width is not exactly my specialty, so I thought I'd see if there were any pain connoisseurs that wouldn't mind helping a fellow learn the ropes? We can all lead, have gear yada yada, but I figure having an old school...

The forest service charges for overnight camping on Federal Land. It's a similar situation to charging for climbing. You're paying to camp on lands that your taxes are supposed to support. Knowing that the funds are supposed to be use for preservation makes me not worry so much about "double taxatio...

jr, Your post is reactionary against climbers in the same way that some of the posts here are reactionary against Mark and his choice. Calling people fuk sticks isn't solving anything. I wasn't condeming Mark at all for closing climbing. I never said anything of the sort. I actually agree with his a...
