I found a good solution for filling in holes using a small wad of fiberglass cloth stuffed into the proximal part of the hole, then covering it with fiberglass hardener topped with a spot of sand or dirt. Sets up quick, not too messy, disguises the hole well,

The papers on the site demonstrate a benefit. I agree with Duston though. Healthy lungs are very compliant and it takes little force to increase the volume in them to create the negative pressure for inspiration. If you had restrictive lung disease the lungs would be stiff and would require more for...

I would leave them true to the original placements as much as possible unless they are clearly bad. That said, I am unaware of really bad placements on the UT.
