Re: Life Insurance for Climbers

thanks for all the suggestions. I'm still waiting for the quote from the AAC - I'll also try prudential life. I agree that I don't want a way out for the insurance companies if something would happen (hopefully not!).

Life Insurance for Climbers

We're looking to do the right thing and purchase life insurance before I give birth in a few months. I've contacted the American Alpine Club to ask for a quote. Is there any other climber-friendly places I should get quotes for life insurance from?

Re: Lost, but found rope. Do you know Tom?

It sounds like "Tom" made a sufficient effort. He contacted you and told you where the rope is. Pretty nice for a stranger finding another strangers rope. Have you tried contacting the folks at LOA? Sometimes we have to stop blaming others for our actions. If it's still at LOTA you might try messag...

Re: RRGCC Toilet Input Needed

As the holiday season is approaching - these would make a great gift. If you came to Johnny & Alex Trail Day you may have been able to try one out for free as they donated several samples. They're a great company and it's a great product! :-) http://amzn.to/1LG5YdB

Re: Belaying while Pregnant

Thanks everyone - now that I'm out of the first trimester I can come out of the closet so to speak :-) Just in case others google this thread - I stopped belaying at 5 weeks and I also stopped leading. I switched to a full body harness around 13 weeks since I was showing. I borrowed a Petzl A2 - but...

Red Tag on a Route

Just a reminder. If a route has a red tag on it - please don't climb it. Developers use red tags to mark routes that are not opened - sometimes because they have not sent and sometime because there's a problem with the route that they need to come back and fix. It does not matter which reason a rout...
