You can go to the online guide book. Under the route Pogue Ethics select the link for "report bad bolts."

Re: FREE LUNCH!!! May 2

1. Not too late to sign up. Many hands make light work and we all want to go climbing afterwards! :-) 2. Please be advised if you are NOT participating, there will be extensive work done at the Shire. Please consider climbing elsewhere on Saturday. It may be difficult to climb with 50 people redoing...

Re: FREE LUNCH!!! May 2

We still need about 20 more people. PLEASE RSVP http://rrgcc.org/upcoming-trail-days/ so we can get you lunch. We want to have enough (but not too much!) Also - as always, we understand that we are climbers first and trail builders second. We will try to wrap it up in time for you to get a few pitch...

FREE LUNCH!!! May 2

We need some MAJOR help on May 2nd. We have an awesome grant from Trango to rehab the Shire. If you have been there recently, you know how desperately needed this is. We need about 50 people. We have 14. IF this project goes well, we can use it as a model to try and get other grants. That's a big IF...

Re: Good area for beginner top roping?

The Red is not a good top rope area. New River Gorge offers many top ropes. The only area in the Red that offers short easy TR is practice wall; however, there's no "5.0 or lower." I would recommend indian staircase in that national forrest for scrambling.

Re: Looking for sport climbing partner

I started climbing in august of 2014. I climb at the gym at least 4 times a week. I have climbed at the red 8-10 times. Looking to be at the gorge just about every weekend (as long as the weather is good). As of now I can climb 5.10's. I am willing to belay for anything. I would ask people at the g...

Re: Do you Kroger?

The RRGCC receives a quarterly check for this. Right now it's roughly $200 - which is about $800 per year. Let's try to get that up to $500/quarter!!! Our emergency road fund is around $2k (depending on the year and the weather) and given the EXTREMELY wet weather we've had this spring, we will need...

Cell Question

I want to have data service in RRGCC parking areas: - Drive By - Flat Hollow - Miller Fork I'm fairly certain Verizon works there; however, I'm trying to switch to a less expensive service. Does anyone else have a carrier that allows both phone calls AND good enough data service to access websites i...

We're still working on the final number tally - but it was a HUGE success!!! Thank you to our LOVELY intern Erika for putting this together in two weeks time! And thank you to every one that came out and supported. We have the best climbing community anywhere :-)
