Re: Does party time ever get sun?

are you able to reuse the old hangers? some of those where big beefy thick rap hangers. I know Into Purple had them and seems like Party time ,but it's been years since I been up it. That second pitch is just awesome.

Buzzards N. is awesome ! belay after the first little tree. do Into the Purple for sure. Shock and Awe is really goo...

Re: Missing details in the online guide?

I've been up Nevermore but I think it was before Ray's guide. It was easy enough to find the start. Goes up a short wide section, Goes horizontal to the left a bit and up a nice crack with a small tree to the huge ledge system. then takes off from the right side of the ledge. the final crack angles ...

Re: Good trad crag

Clearcut. 2 eights that stay dry all the time .one is stellar and the other is ok. Enough other routes there to keep you busy.
Tower is the best place but the lines arent always dry.

Re: Kong Spot Gypsy New Trad Pro

I would want the bottom against some sort of rail or in a recess. I used the old version of these a long time ago while climbing with some one that had them. Havent seen them since till now. I never wieghted them but it looks like they take a fall.

Re: Pistol Ridge~ Trad route with anchors not in guide book.

I found a bolted line once that was also unpublished and had the same color spray painted bolts. The anchors were handy for rapping from the other climbs but one just fell out a few years ago. Our spraypainting bolter did have an eye for an interesting line.

Re: NC

take everything you need with you to table rock. it's a long drive down gravel roads back to town. I was there in late fall and the north end routes I really wanted to do were freezing cold in the wind. the easy routes are in the sun . The ones we did were mixed routes but nice and long.
