Re: PDs at Lode

Dustin is mistaken in that I wanted to or did leave gear. Negative, good buddy. I don't climb at that cliff frequently enough to leave gear there. Frankly I am with Dustin. The problem is with the mank. Unfortunately the crew did a poor job of discriminating, and if they had only removed the shitty...

Kenny, it's pretty much your fault that the red is in it's current state of affairs anyway. Way to have "vision".

its amazing that you suckers cry about your own suckcess! Everyone wants to be famous, but for a lack of character, talent, skill or hope all you fuckers would be somebody on a scale of ones and zeros. Like little trolls sitting on their own little pot of gold, worrying over it like it had an inheren...

Re: The crowds are not going away... So what do we do?

Cletus: first off, I would wreck Sasha Digiulian in a street fight. Last year I challenged Paul Robinson to arm wrestle me. He took one glance at my bicep and declined. Pro climbers fear me. FACT! Secondly, it seems like your whole stance on overcrowding is contradictory. Looking at it from a big p...

Re: Project Draws: How Long is Too Long?

I look at it this way. If you were backpacking, set up your tents at a base camp, then went on some day hikes from that camp, and finally broke it down and went home that would be great. However, if you went out and set up the same base camp, went home for a few weeks or so to return for your day h...

Re: PDs at Lode

Why don't you guys just instill a program such as the one in Hueco? The PMRP is self guided, with only x-amount of climbers allowed (by reservation only)...and the rest of the areas are only open for guided tours...crowds = solved, behavior = restricted, freedom = done. It seems to be headed in this...

This went unnoticed. I laughed. If this happens, please send me an email prior to the stripping so I can drive up.

Re: "The List"

On routes such as Paradise...maybe equip the first 3 with PD's...then simply z-lower off of the PD's when cleaning and not have to take the giant swing.

Re: Project Draws: How Long is Too Long?

I'm seeing "fixed draws" and "project draws" interchanged here. They aren't the same thing. Fixed gear, IMO, has a quinklink involved...project gear doesn't. As soon as someone can give me an official sanctioned definition of "fixed" gear...then maybe we can actually have a discussion. This is ridic...

Re: The crowds are not going away... So what do we do?

The number of routes 5.5-5.9 in the Red is ridiculous. If you want the crowds to thin, stop bolting those. I also agree with the cheap camping, it's SO easy to live there for a season or even two. But it's the weekenders that are creating all the accidents and shitshow atmosphere that seems to be th...

A majority of the routes in the Red that have fixed draws only have ONE draw on the anchor. Of course it's a send.
