You should see what the guys from SoIll Holds do. They fill a space way smaller than your barn with tons of people every year. Everybody stays off to the side why one guy and one girl climb a problem.

I figure if we plan on hitting the trailhead at 3a.m. that gives us plenty of time to talk specifics at a killer bar in Estes... by the time we hit anything technical we should be sober again.

Mammut gear is kick ass in general. I have been wearing the harness for 3 years now and love it. It puts the trango and Black Diamond models I've worn to shame. Very comfortable, nice to hang in... whether setting routes, hang dog'in or hanging belay'in.

Belayer instintively pulls back on the handle, loses control with the break hand and the climber decks.
If the ropes are rapped twice at the top (anchor) there will be additionally friction on the system and can help add security to the gumby factor.

This is ripped from an email that my dog sent me: In 2003 I was bit on the nose by a Copperhead snake at Jackson Falls and almost died. My owner let me off the leash and like a curious dog I like to frolic through big piles of leaves for no good reason. As I was doing so I stepped on one of those sl...
