Warm-up: huff and puff to the crag. Drop gear. Drink Water. Mumble something under my breath about drinking too much the night before. More water. Stare at the rock. Curse again. Climb.

Works for me. Not very well, mind you, but it is my climbing warm-up routine...

We use one at work. It is nice. Once you sharpen a drill bit, it it will dull much faster than a new drill bit, but it still saves money overall. I'm not sure how a crash pad on the arete would be unethical? Are they unethical on the ground when the danger is hitting the ground? Obviously not.
