For sure. Mark has a nice thing going at Torrent and I for one will support it until the day the cliff collapses. Now if he can just do something about the seepage on the 11 wall.

Enjoy yourself and remember, even the best climber out there had to start somewhere
Yeah, but it seems that the best ones start with about 10 years experience more than the rest of us.

Hmmmmm....yes, my vehicle has 4 wheels, but I am not sure how that will help me off road. ;) I would happilly go off-roading through the tree farms up there though. I bet that would be cool.

This is BULLSH*T!

I am pissed off! WHY? I just plotted a map from Louisville to Anchorage, Alaska on Streets and Trips and I found out that having to go around these fucking national tree forest things they have up there adds a FULL DAY to my trip! Jeez, are these people so backwards that they can't even build an int...

I say chop the fuckin' route and put the hangers on something steep. :)

On an aside....Stix said: "This ain't tee ball, not everyone has to play". I think that's one of the best damn lines I have heard in a while and it applies to a WHOLE lot more than just climbing.

Wes, you are correct. Training PE will give you some measure of endurance, but not the same level as if you targeted local endurance specifically. You are also correct that getting on your project will train your local endurance just by default, but I have found that your project goes much more quic...

Hey Pig, If I remember correctly, Dave Scott did 13a when V3 or V4 was his limit. I will ask him about it and let you know though. Maybe my fantastical brain is conjuring spirits again. I do know that Dave has DEVELOPED a phenomenal amount of pure endurance though. Even by his own admission, he used...

You're right about the lines on the Undertow. Now that I think about it I usually have to build up some endurance before taking on those lines after not climbing them for awhile. But, for example, the lines on the Stain wall don't pump me too much if I'm bouldering a lot because the moves don't tak...

Yeah, but there aren't any "hard" moves on routes like Tuna Town. Here is a test...go do Tuna Town....or Resurrection....or hell, you are definitely strong enough, there shouldn't be any hard moves for you on Team Wilson (assuming you have not been on these routes before). You have one shot. if what...

I don't think so. I have found that just training power and maybe some power endurence does much more for actual on route endurance then just training endurance does. I think much of that is because many of the "endurance" routes of the red are more like extended boulder problems with good rests in...

Use gussett plates when attatching trusses to framing.
Damn KD, you are gittin' all high-tech on me there. I can't say I used truss construction on my wall. I did use some chains and turnbuckles for added support though.
