You could auction off that cabin that's given you so much trouble, all proceeds going to purchase the PMRP, or even rent it out for a donation. Or you could shuttle people up and down the Motherlode hill in your f-350 ( that you're "not afraid to use") every weekend during spring break season, and t...

RRGCC

In light of recent activities and the ensuing discussion, I'd like to take a poll.

How about this. The CC morph into a more open group and allow people to participate in events and event planning... The CC has enough of an elitist aire about it as it is without more gates going up. It blows me away when I read stuff like this. I'm not a local, so I don't know what the atmosphere ...

Did you always feel that way? Or predict that? As one who dreams of devoting more and more time to climbing in the pursuit of happiness, and in the name of passion, I'm curious.

Where exactly will it be? How many cars will it fit? Will it be free or cost money? Who is it owned by?Paved or gravel? Who will be maintaining it? Is this in coordination with the RRGCC or the oil company or other private landowner? How was this negotiated with the oil company? Just the basics. It ...

Unless you're in really great shape already, I'd say it's pretty hard to maintain fitness through climbing alone. Unless you climb thousands of vertical feet per month and have a really efficient diet, you'll most likely need to do some cross-training. Most climbing-specific training books don't add...

I spent 113 days out at sea, without even seeing land, working 18 hour days with 5000 other people on an aircraft carrier. It was right after 9/11 and we were bombing Afghanistan, so the engine rooms where I worked were about 115 degrees. That sucked, a lot, but it could have been a lot worse too.

I DO love my life. I've been laid off for almost a year, and am about to foreclose on my house, but I might be happier than I've ever been. I've realized what I NEED to be happy, and that I wasn't getting any of that when I was making good money and working 60 hrs/week. Since I've been unemployed I'...

Losing weight, of course, trying to stick to my P90X schedule, which I've had success with in the past. Climbing on my treadwall a lot more, I've done a mile a month for the past two months now, all overhanging. Lots of visualization, and remembering what a bitch I felt like when I got spanked on an...
