that is an ez one..the traddies sold out in the gorge years ago. they started drilling anchors and cleaning lines on rap. the purity was gone. if a line has even a single bolt the entire thing should be bolted. read again: you put in steel anchors then dont pretend it i s still a trad line . u have ...

thats the thing jackson...for some reason gumballs have this wierd affinity for tradlines, perhaps because many of them can be scaled in tennis shoes:)

good article on those guys...if i read it correctly they fully considered. climbing it on pre placed gear as an fa and went on their business only revisiting after comments and as time allowed at the end of the trip. anyone on here willing to take the fa away from them if they had not went back?

I thought "back in the day" guys who climb as far as they could, and if they fell they would lower and leave the gear in place. the next climber would step up and toprope to that high point and continue on as he could until he fell.....is this correct as far as what was considered good style? is tha...

So is it totally cool to "send" or "redpoint" a gear route with all the gear pre placed? If I recall, those dudes who were sending that hard roof crack in Utah 'sent" the route with all gear in situ.... if anyone dares to say "not cool", then please explain your hypocrisy with sending wiener sport r...

interesting.....I am not sure I can honestly say I have ever lost sleep over climbing or a route.....

new cliff line on the other hand....I have pretty much decided I am a developer and no longer a real climber.
