developers, always check any rop you leave hanging over the top of a cliff ev en for a day. it is that time of year where the small animals are out and will chew the sheath. I had one chewed last week...the sheath was gone.

lee, the latest issue of climbing had a letter write in that fits you to a tee..the guy says that he might need "help" as he finds himself liking training more than actual climbing. he goes on to posit that training will become a discipline it and of itself much like bouldering or sport climbing..pe...

it is a game of decisions no doubt..every single sport route could be totally dumbed down with bolts every 2-3 feet...anyone want that? as we start spreading out the bolt placements, we primarily are taking our own view of risk/ability/safety into consideration. personally when I bolt the line my pr...

I draw Xs all the time on routes to make the route harder...people tend to shy away from holds marked with Xs and then they fall off and say it was hard for the grade......fun little game really.

c2c, I just found it funny that everyone is like"it is the climber's responsibility to always check the gear', but then when it comes to route development suddenly it is the bolters responsibility to make sure they stay safe...huh?

With the recent comments about "bad bolting jobs" I was wondering what all the chode chuffers on here thought. Is there room for sporty sport lines? Is it the job of the developer to make your experience stress free? We hate the perma police but then we demand that certain sport lines be fixed.... D...
