Re: Which is better?

Thank you for the list.

So there are many comparisons to draw upon, but not Muir vs. PMRP.

Re: Which is better?

But you're right, there are zero restrooms, which I didn't realize was a requirement for going into the woods. It definitely should be given the extremely high volume of traffic in the PMRP. No environmental impact process in the nation would approve what is going on there. And I am so over out of ...

Re: Which is better?

BTW, why are we comparing land privately owned by a wealthy couple vs. land owned via donations from the climbing community? Shouldn't it be Muir vs. Torrent or Muir vs. Roadside or Muir vs. HP40; and PMRP vs. (well geez, I haven't visited any climber-owned land outside of PMRP, just government-owne...

Re: Which is better?

Which is better overall for a climbing area? From rock quality to atmosphere. Well, if by "atmosphere" you mean the stench of dog and human shit and piss, poorly kept trails, a godawful access road, insanely noisy dogs and climbers, zero restrooms, and inadequate parking, then there is no contest -...

FS: Pre-loved Wmn's Arc'teryx Miura 50 Back Pack Medium

Parting with a pack in favor of better fitting pack (the Miura was much too big on me). There are a couple things to point out: one of the waist clasps is cracked, but it still works; and one of the sternum straps does not match (someone actually stole mine off my pack at replaced it with a black on...

Re: Dyno wall Rocktoberfest 2013?

While our community is small, we are the best audience and judge of decisions that affect us financially because we are the ones most invested in the climbing here. However, I do realize that not all the ones involved access this forum, although I've come to learn that many do lurk here without ever...

Re: Wanted Miura 50 Old style.

I have a medium women's FS. One of the plastic clasps on the waist is a bit broken, but it still works.

Re: New Gravel!

Because of climbers' positive contributions to the area....but mostly because of the work I've been doing with them and TEALS. They are grating the road out of kindness, and it costs them, but they are doing it because we are contributing something good back. Audrey's work is superb, but I disagree...

Re: Trail day recap

I was there of course for the DS trail renovation, but I got to check out the motherlode bridge work later that day. Holy cow ... its GREAT!!! It's so much better than before. BTW, the last time I saw Hugh, he related that the logs they used to cross the stream to DS were put in ~13 years ago. It's ...

Re: New Gravel!

In the interim I hope to have the flat Hollar parking area open by early to mid summer. It's centrally located and will hold a significant volume of vehicles. I just have to get equipment down to level it out an build it up. I encountered some friends who parked at the Lode and hiked to North 40 - ...
