Re: Legacy Bolts vs. Power Bolts

The hammering is the mechanism to set the cone to allow for tightening. The Legacy doesn't require that. If you do go with Powers, I would recommend using some Vibra-tite VC3 to help prevent loosening. https://www.amazon.com/Vibra-TITE-VC-3-Threadmate/dp/B008D6GHY6 There has also been a group in Col...

Re: Legacy Bolts vs. Power Bolts

Legacy bolt is very nice. Did just as well as the powers in our 1 off tensile pull test. I don't think you have to worry more about it falling out than a SS powers bolt. Cost is a factor for us as well. However as Rockso, stated they are really nice to place with almost no hammering needed.

Big thank you to all those who assisted in getting me to the U.K. Hospital as fast as they did. My fall was between 50-60' not from anchors! I was...

Re: Rebolt/Repair Question

Meh, I hate having 1/2 worn rap rings on routes. At best, leaves things messy. I added 1/2" quicklinks to Creature Feature for that reason and they were gone in a month. Another option is to cut them off with an angle grinder. Erik has one. If you do replace the hanger you may need another washer. I...

Re: Rebolt/Repair Question

Should be fine to pull the hanger/ring and replace the hanger and re-install the bolt. Obviously it needs to tighten down well again. If it takes excessive force to get the bolt to loosen (weakening it) or if it won't tighten down I'd have plan B on hand to convert to glue ins.

Thx

Re: MFRP beta - where are the permas at?

If you mean 12b/c range. There aren't that many with PDs. Singularity, On Thin Ice, Last Rites, Suffering, Shaman, 40 years of Justice, Clown Patrol (except bottom), and Lessor of Two Evils (except bottom). At least those are ones I know of in MF

Re: Partner& some practical info - 20 october - 22 november

Most classic hard routes have permadraws. If the route is a short term project and draws are hard to hang or clean, leave them up and just make sure to grab them before you leave. Some areas it is not ok to leave them up so ask a local or post up on here before doing so.

Good luck and have fun.
