Re: So, how busy was it, really?
I honestly did not think that the climbing areas, at least where I was, were any more crowded this past weekend than they would be on any average fall weekend with warm-ish temps and no rain in a forecast. I was in PMRP both Sat and Sunday. Speaking with a few friends who were climbing at other pla...

Re: Gates closed and locked
I am not saying that the RRGCC has stated that access is restricted, but I do believe that not publishing directions is not "full" access. Another question. Would the RRGCC be supportive if a person posted full directions on this site or at all the climbing gyms? I am asking because a lot of people ...

Re: Gates closed and locked
What is the time line or plan for full access to the public for Miller Fork? Are we waiting for full infrastructure to be developed or is the RRGCC willing to just say "its open, but at your own risk and don't screw it up, break your car, get stuck, or block people in." I am in no way being critical...

Re: A Very Special Announcement
Is ANY of Miller Fork open to use yet, or just limited to in-progress route developers access? Will a very clear and accurate map be placed here on site for locating it? I'm not down to southern region enough to have any idea where it is. Get the idea it's almost in Beattyville and not near PMRP by...

Re: Directions to Area 6
It is only a stones throw away from one of the most popular crags in the red. You just need to look harder, or higher up and then down again.

Miller Fork part zwei
Please don't post in the other Miller Fork thread... we can continue the fight here.
Anyway... as soon as our hangers come in we can finish up 8 more routes. Hopefully will get out the weekend after next in case anyone wants to help.

Re: Miller Fork
Miller Fork is more of a blank slate. We have a chance to do it right, but doing it right takes time, and this is part of the reason why the Coalition has not yet put out the “Open for Climbing” sign. As the June 3, 2013 press release stated, “More information, including information regarding trail...

Re: Miller Fork
A subaru will get you in, to a certain point, if the water is low, but you will probably occasionally bottom out. A real 4wd is recommended with decent clearance. Also pay attention to the weather report for the day. If the weather calls for potential pop up storms you may not want to drive in. The ...
