i kinda like that idea for routes that were aid routes for a long time and then went free and can only be repeated by a handfull of people.

We had a local stop by the shop asking for donations. From what I heard it is true that he passed on. She stated that he was shot in the neck and then burned. This is all second hand info, so take it as that. Sad, very sad.

My local/non local comment was meant more towards climbers that spend a whole season or extended periods of time at the campground, not climbers that have been around long enough to be considered locals. I bet less than 60% pay Miguel for his camping service. I disagree about the out of town/local comparison. Just a guess but I bet the locals skip out on paying more than the visiting climbers do.
