Re: climber decks, kills dog?

Thanks for the thoughtful post Andrew. Finally someone with some tact and insight. But just as I had to accept, this was belayer error, plain and simple, and yes experienced belayers can make mistakes. Why people can't understand the fact that experienced climbers can make errors is beyond me. Very ...

Re: Sharing my power/strength training plan

quick question..when you are doing the three finger hangs, do you curl your other finger under or try to straighten it out of the way? neither way feels comfortable. I curl the other finger. Should feel natural, similar to using a three finger hold outside. Another question, when you are using hold...

Re: Sharing my power/strength training plan

Thanks for posting your workouts Ray. For your fingerboard routines when you say "8 seconds X 3 sets with 1 minute rest between sets" is this 3 times of -- hang 8 seconds followed by a minute rest, or is a set more than one hang?

True, but I found humor in you quoting and displaying it again. and I thought that you were partaking in reductio ad absurdum, silly me. that is why the last 10 sport routes I have bolted and sent are not publicized or published...because i'd rather do it on my own time line, away from the crowds. ...

Chriss and the others that Wes named, you clearly have no fucking clue how much time all of this takes. If you did you would not be wasting your time posting these long winded rants. Instead you would be emailing those involved and asking how you can help. By the way there is an event at Miguels th...

Re: Over it

Put Joe, Chriss, Matt and Aaron in charge of the rrgcc, and see how long the pmrp stays open. Interesting ... Sounds like my honest and fair question concerning Kung Fu Panda turned you into an angry panda. Really, if you are that sensitive, I recommend spf 80 when you leave the house, or grow some...

True, heavyc, but what are your feelings about this scenario: I was on a route years ago, where the crux of the route was clipping the 3rd bolt. I worked it on TR and got it wired, and on the redpoint, i skipped the bolt. Still a send? I don't see the problem (stunning the hog?). Did Sharma clip al...

The only opinion that matters is your own. So why ask? She is seeking the opinion of others. I think that the opinion of others matters in almost all cases. We are social animals. In this case, I don't see how it matters. If she counts it as a send, good for her, if not, good for her. I can't remem...

When toproping often the climber has the chance to get a slight rest by sinking their hips down while resting on a jug which creates tension in the rope. Honest climbers will pull out the slack but I've seen some be dishonest with themselves and take advantage of it. I've actually read advice from ...

Huber brothers, funny. I guess we are missing the awesome locks of hair. Had a great 6 days of climbing with Rob (fray21) and T-roy of Iowa. Spent a lot of time climbing and even more time having fun goofing off. I was lucky enough to run into a lot of friends, even got to spend a day climbing with ...

The two things that I used to really like: 1. Searching the most recent route comments (and not so and so said something about route x, but the actual comments without going to the routes). 2. Looking at routes ticked in the last x days. Is there a way to do this. It seems like the new version has s...

i thnik i see the sleeping bag and fan where his wife makes him sleep... Ha, I think that she has thought about it :D Believe it or not I turned the fan on yesterday while training. I like the big move / throw finish, and finger buckets to start. Just a preference as I have plenty of room in betwee...
