Drill & Misc. Bolting Supplies

Over the last year I've gained a whole new respect for those who put up the routes we play on and figured out first hand I don't have much interest in the shenanigans involved with the process. I'll also be moving back to California here soon and thus will have no use for any of my bolting equipment...

Rotarypower just had a good idea!?

I to would buy that book. Please dedicate a whole chapter to your first time up Caver's route with the big breasted lady.

+1

Paying for parking has been discussed. What are the logistical issues with this? Even if someone had to be employed to collect the funds on busy weekends it would still be very worthwhile IMO.

Re: Camping - Miguel's? Lago Linda? Elsewhere?

Land of Arches will be your best bet. MUCH quieter than Miguel's, close to good food (Rock House), and closest to Muir Valley where most of the easy climbs are.

Re: Top Routes for the Grade at the RRG

Granted I'm not strong enough to touch the grade, I don't see how Golden Boy gets runner up to Cut Throat when it's been voted the best 13b in the country before in magazines. Also the Infidel should be a strong contender for best 11d. All things is a little too short and atypical to be the best IMO...

Re: Are there many snake encounters while rock climbing?

Yes, what KD said. They also camouflage themselves really well and most of us come near them on a regular basis without ever knowing it. They also tend to slither away rather than try to stand their ground when people get close. Curious dogs seem to get bit far more often than we do. I'll never forg...
