Re: Reunion aka as the Return of Saxman et al
Wouldn’t it be great if Saxman started climbing on the regular again?

Love Shack is stout but pretty fun to decipher.

Re: Belay Specs: affordable belay glasses
Krampus: are you using IE8? For some reason you can't click on the Add to Cart button with IE8 but it works fine with Chrome, Safari and Firefox. I am working on a fix but for now using another browser is the working solution. If that doesn't work let me know. C2C: you are totally correct. It depend...

Re: Belay Specs: affordable belay glasses
Piggy - I played around with that and it actually doesn't work. Prisms don't work like mirrors (well not exactly) pivoting the prism doesn't change the angle of what you see it just shifts the center so you'd still have to look up with your eyes or neck to change the angle. As for the website, I don...

there are a couple easy routes (5.5, 5.7) protected by a big overhang at Chica Bonita. might not be enough to entertain you for long

Epic beer is a treat but I need to be careful with that stuff.

Re: Where to live?
Phil, does the Mormon influence become bothersome? I mean like the 3% beer and stuff like that. I hear it's even tough to get a job there if you're not in the club. the Mormons aren't that big of a deal. You notice them cause their influence is everywhere but it doesn't get in the way much. Getting...

Re: Where to live?
Salt Lake is a pretty nice place to be. In the last couple months I have climbed at American Fork, Maple, City of Rocks and Little Cottonwood. There are many crags within an hour and major destinations (Maple, City of Rocks, Joe's Valley, Triasic) within three hours. Within a days drive you can get ...

Re: What is your least favorite sport crag?
Jordan, I agree with you, Chica Bonita is a PILE! I didn't like it and I'll hopefully never go back... Sorry, Phil, you are over-ruled on this one, buddy! (And I like vert/slabby climbing...) Speaking of good slab climbs, go climb on Snapper at the Lode, SO GOOD! Wait, huh? Slab at the Lode, what??...

Re: What is your least favorite sport crag?
Jordan - I think it's just that you suck at slab. Chica has some awesome slab routes and there are some pretty cool 5.10 vert sport routes too.
I am not a huge fan of Volunteer Wall and I've done nearly all the sport routes there. There are a couple good ones though.

Re: clickup: 1.75 years of constant use
I'm pretty jazzed about trying the Alpine Up. It's basically a Click Up with two slots so you can rappel on it and use the locking feature to stop mid-rappel. it combines the awesomeness of a ATC Guide and the locking mechanism of the Grigri while weighing somewhere between the two. not really neces...

Back for a Visit
I'm back in the are for the next couple weeks and will be climbing or resting in the Red (except for the 11th and 12th) from now until the 22nd. I'll be staying at Miguel's starting on Monday but will be carless. I'm not begging for partners (I'm sure I'll find people at MIg's) but would love to get...
