i'm with dustin on snooker. great rock, good position. it maybe doesn't have the most memorable movement, but nothing compared to the boring crimp ladder that is golden boy that everyone raves about. and babe is definitely on par with these great 13a's if that horizontal is dry.

i've seen the dark s10 numerous times in the middle of the day in the southern region, usually backed into a spot at the lode. there are several different drivers who i've seen in the same s10. they almost always pull out and leave when i drive by and mean mug them. i keep a record of dates, times, ...

one of the busiest wkends in terms of cars i've seen in the southern region. tons of really shitty parking jobs and cars lining roads in places i've never seen. didn't really run into all that many people climbing though.

clif, i don't understand your question about clove v munter vs overhand on a bight. they all are different hitches or knots with different purposes and uses.

every belay needs to be approached independently and being flexible is key to staying safe i think. if i'm at a belay with a couple nice bolts i almost always belay off the anchor with a reverso or atc guide and stack the rope over the rope running from my tie in knot to the anchor, though in the re...
