Re: Indiana Climbers...

Sorry Andrew, long time no see. Welsh is the oldest surviving language in Europe. It was a bardic language - our stories were handed down through poetry and song rather than as a written language. The English tried and almost suceeded in eradicating the Welsh language until it was revived in the ear...

Re: Indiana Climbers...

Dafydd, I do pass through on my way to the Red and will be happy to climb with you when it gets a little warmer. To be honest, you'll find lots of climbing partners. The Red has a very active and open climbing community. The Red is a fantastic climbing area - nearly as good and similar in scale to P...

Re: Treadwall Auto-"stop" Question for Treadwall Owners/User

There isn't a hard stop - mine slips exactly the way you are describe. As info, the stop is simply a choke on the output side of the oil pump. So, the reason it "slips" is due to the tolerance between the impeller and the housing allowing a little oil to bypass the impeller. I have mine jacked up an...

Re: Funk Rock City Rebolt Raffle

Matt/Yasmeen/Jeff, Thank you for organising the raffle and re-bolting project. I think it is fantastic our community can raise $1,735, in short order, to fund the rebolting of Funk Rock. When I saw the post saying I'd won the Grand Prize, I thought I'd round off the amount raised to $2,000. I unders...

Re: Armaid = Donation to RRGCC

ynp1 - Armaid has allowed me to return to two of the great joys of my life; climbing and chronic masterbation! Terry Cross (the owner of Armaid) just sent me a e-mail to say he now has now added a climbers section on his website. http://www.armaid.com/rockclimbers.php The RRGCC and the Access Fund l...

Re: tilting treadwall beyond 30%

Inspired by HeavyC's question, I decided to modify my Treadwall over the New Year. I moved the pivot point 3/4 of the way down the "panel" and mounted the new pivot shaft/bearing to the front leg of the A-frame. My wall is now adjustable though 40degrees. (45degrees is possible, if you move lower th...
