Re: Armaid = Donation to RRGCC

Hey Bob, long time no speak, I thought it was a sound move on terry's part to offer to donate to the RRGCC. I used my Armaid last night after training. I just modified my Treadwall to tilt to 40degress and Armaid seems to help my recovery. Let me know what Terry says he's very responsive and loves f...

Armaid = Donation to RRGCC

Has anyone else tried Armaid (www.armaid.com), Last March, I partially tore my right bicep. It hadn’t fully healed before I started back with my normal training and climbing routine. I got into a cycle of partial recovery and re-injury and sought professional help to rehab my arm. The physical thera...

Re: tilting treadwall beyond 30%

HeavyC, Great question, and one I've been wrestling with. My Treadwall (by cutting down the front legs and jacking up the back legs) has adjustment from 0deg to 28.5deg. The front legs of my A-frame are not quite vertical, to reduce any potential for of topling. I have several thoughts on moving pas...

Re: another ginsu biner

Thanks for the warning Brad.
I had wondered if a revolver would make it easier to boink-up. From your description it probably would. However, any benefit would likely be offset by falling further in the first place. Net-net its probably a zero sum game.

I'll keep experimenting...

Re: another ginsu biner

While this thread started with insitu gear, I have a (bad?) habit of using one particular draw to stick-clip the first (2nd if I can reach it) bolt. At the end of last season, I noticed that the bent gate had become worn and sharp. As others have surmized, I assume the biner wear was exacerbated by ...

Ken-Tex BBQ = Après Climbing Nutrition

About two years ago, I decided to stop and try a BBQ-shack as an alternative to the ubiqutious food-chains along I-64. Ken-Tex BBQ has become our après-climbing food stop every Sunday evening on the way back to Chicago from the Red. Their sliced beef Sandwich laced with their hot BBQ sauce served w...
