PMRP Fundraiser

Howdy, So, thanks again to everyone who gave suggestions regarding holds and tips for building my home wall. Now that everything is set up I have a fair amount of climbing space and a ton of holds (thanks Cromlech) I thought I would open it up to everyone. See, the problem is that I don't know the f...

I just got on Another Doug Reed route this past sunday. I agree, it was a great route that I had never considered. Also, I like Monkey in the middle at the Zoo, add Hippocrite to make it worth the hike.

KD, Your wall looks sweet. Did you use the sand / paint trick for texture?

are finger nails supposed to be cut straight or curved? I have both and it seems the curved ones cause more trouble but are more asthetic to trim I always thought curved for fingers and straight for toes. My buddy (kirker on here) had major problems with his toes and ingrown toenails. Once he stopp...

Somebody PM'd me about the gymnastics pad I bought. Here are some pics of it. It's 5'x10'x18". We took falls from the roof onto our backs last night and it was no problem. Should keep me from killing myself. :) http://www.imagotechnologies.com/pics/wall/006.jpg http://www.imagotechnologies.com/pics/...

Where did you get the starter set and how much did it cost? Are more available? Always looking to add holds. Contact Cromlech on here. I called it a starter set, but it was really just him picking out a few hundred bucks worth of holds for me. He's a cool guy and will help you get the right stuff. ...

Cool, I'll wait and take a look for what your talking about (natural looking footholds). I also forgot to mention that I'm picking up a 5' x 10' x 18" gymnastics pad from Columbus today so everything should be pretty safe. Maybe I'll get someone else to test a roof fall first.

What is 3/8ths backer rod? I just went ahead and stuck the T-nuts in by themselves. Is it an extension or something? I think he just meant something like all thread that would fill the holes while you paint. Otherwise, you might get paint in the t-nuts and ruin them. Some of the sections of this wa...

Not sure what you mean by naturals but, we've used a lot of natural rock and wood for holds. Your imagination is the only limitation for wood, as for rock, we've found a lot of stuff that we were able to drill and mount on the wall. Might be a no brainer but try to find stuff that would be easy to ...

Materials for "naturals"

I just finished my home climbing wall. Thanks to the folks who gave me suggestions on holds, and many thanks to Cromlech on here for hooking me up with a great starter set. I was curious if anyone put naturals or paint on their home walls? If so, what materials did you use. Of course it's totally un...

Suggestions for hold manufacturers

So, I just bought my first house and I have a two car garage with close to 12 foot ceilings so it's time to build a woody. :) I'm using the guide on the Metolius site to design it and have a few layouts that I think I like. The next thing will be to get the holds. I'm sure Metolius and Nicros are sa...
