Word up! Thanks a bunch for the tool usage and everything else I'm sure I don't even have a clue about!
I sort of wipe and rinse the top part off about 80% of the time when I fill mine up. Every couple months or so I toss it in the dishwasher. In the summer I'm usually drinking out of gallon jugs so my Nalgene's are sitting and multiplying all kinds of nasty germs I'm sure.
