we dealt with some heat at solar collector on saturday, but had the whole area to ourselves both days (and the entire parking area to ourselves on sunday)
wait, i take that back.... solar area blows, everyone go climb elsewhere for the remainder of the season

I always post this stuff about my partners after they out-send me.

Roadside incident Sat.

Good news on this front! Megan suffered a broken tail bone, but escaped spinal cord injury in the incident at Roadside Sat. She was at Muir Sunday and Monday, not climbing, but walking (albeit, gingerly) with her group of climber friends from Normal IL.

wow... good to hear she is ok. I also ran into the hilljacks wit the dog out at inner sanctum.... they said they didn't see the BIG SIGN that says NO DOGS ALLOWED at the parking area. they were nice enough to let me get on the route they were gonna try though... and then it kicked my ass.
And on the third day, God created the Red River Gorge(by conjecture), and he saw that it was good.

we started at the gallery on sunday. when the hordes decended we moved to volunteer wall and had a quiet time of climbing - although we did hear multiple dogfights coming from across the way. fortunately if you're flexible you can go to where others are not and it works out fine.

i agree with Piggy. i miss the peace of having a crag to myself and a few friends. I ended up at a gumby paradise this weekend and it got super busy. it ended with my thumb getting bit by a dog, although it was mostly my fault as the owner had her leashed and i approached the dog.

I definitely witnessed some scary shit this weekend. People need to slow down and think from time to time.

Haha... mostly your fault??

If you end up at a gumby paradise on the first nice weekend of the year... then you SUCK at making decisions.

actually OW, the friend I had plans with kinda sucks at communication so i suddenly found myself w/o a partner. so i had to make guesses as to where i could find people to climb with and it didn't work out. and as for the first "nice" weekend of the year, I've had alot of better weekends this year already.
