Maybe it's time for a little civil disobedience. You know, punch back twice as hard. If there are barriers that can be moved, move them. If there are signs that can be taken down, take them down. Thanks Obama!

Sounds to me like a real good way to jeopardize access in the future..

jeopardize access? you mean access to the land that we own as free men?

closing of all national forests was a ploy. plain and simple. it worked, but it was a ploy none the less.

Pretty sure "free women" own some of that land, too. Just a thought.

Maybe some of the true patriots in our climbing community could purchase some land and form a group akin to the Montana Freemen ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montana_Freemen ) to manage it?

Isn't that what the RRGCC and Muir Valley is doing already? Thanks to those two groups/people, we still had lots of places to climb. Now we just need to support them with our donations, etc.

Thanks for the support steve - I know both the RRGCC and Friends of Muir Valley will put donations to good use! But I don't think the RRGCC or Muir Valley will ever want to manage land ala Montana Freemen! Armed standoffs aren't really our thing. ;-)
