i guess in my case fools rush in; would you care to share your thoughts?

oh, slabs. well, if the gumby apocalypse that has been foretold comes to pass at least now there will be a few more places to supplement the easy walls at Muir and far end of Roadside?

What/when is happening with the infrastructure development? Is this going to be part of the next trail day?

It sounds like some of the cliffline is already developed, even going as far as having some crags named? Looking at the picture that accompanied the official release, I was curious if the photo was actually from the new area...
We are tentatively planning to have the parking lots secured prior to Johnny an Alex trail day (8/10/13). On the trail day we are hoping to put in a trail to a cliff. Cliffs are currently under development and grades range from 5.9 to 5.12 maybe a 13 but I'm not sure. Cliffs are being named; however he names in the slides how are tentative.

One thing we desperately need are people to run trail crews - both at Jatd and throught the year and for the next few years. On one hand it's great to have a blank slate so we can do it right the first time. On the other hand it's very time intensive to build trails from scratch. We are holding a trail building clinic on June 15 to teach those that are interested in helping in trail building. The more new faces that step up and donate their time, the more quickly we can open up more walls as theyre developed! Go to rrgcc.org to sign up. Pls keep in mind this is not a "trail day" but a trail building clinic for future trail leaders :-)

The land management staff is in full gear making plans for the PMRP. We have several projects In the works including....

New signage in key areas
New parking lots
Road improvements
Road reroute research
kiosk rebuilding etc. etc.

Now that we have the new land acquired it will take us some time to develop a sustainable trail and road system. Our goal is that it be done methodically so we avoid most of the problems that we encounter now with our current road system. please be patient while we work on it folks. There is a lot to do!

We need more land management staff! come out and get trained to run trail days and develop YOUR LAND!

I bet your witty cheeriness gets you more ass than an astronaut derdouchbag ....

Again, just remember that those trails that conflict so hard with your inner being provide access to about 40ish great routes already developed with potential for many many many more. They provide access to a natural bridge that makes the state parks looks like child play. Access to some of the prettiest land the rrgcc owns. Its also paid for the flat holler parking lot to help with over crowding, its been a major revenue source for the road improvements, its offset costs for bigger better trail days, off set other costs and allowed them to buy real trail tools, its been able to improve many other trails, build new lasting bridges where needed, put money in the bank to help with current needs and future growth and is still in the works to bring many miles of trails to the area for climbing, hiking and (holy shit, insert gasp here) mountain biking.

But man, your witty entertainment never gets old....

As Ive said earlier, Ive been breaking my back and dealing with haters working with the rrgcc since 99. My time and patience has passed. I do hope the current folks running it and those in the future can continue to push the boundaries, ignore the haters and create something that in the long run will be a blessing to the area, its locals and its mixed user groups while protecting the natural resources we all take for granted.

Good luck with the new purchase and maintaining the pmrp. Have fun with it Mike and others and remember no good deed goes unpunished...

What in the hell are you talking about? Access to the PMRP is perfect, more than I would ever expect for a climbing area. The BOD busts their ass to secure these areas for us, I don't understand the implied hostility for securing more land for us. As far as I know, catering to every need of a bunch of soft skinned trust fund climbers has never been the mission of the coalition. If you can't handle a little mud on your shoes then don't climb in the woods, as long as the bolts are present and legal to climb on, the coalition has done its job. But still, above and beyond the mission, every year the PMRP gets better and better, I don't see that changing. Thanks so much to the RRGCC. I appreciate the fact that they put the feelers out in the community about what to do now that the PMRP is paid off, personally, I am glad that we chose the more land option.

Thanks for all the hard work. The PMRP and MFRP are perfect in my eyes. The RRGCC is doing a great job with what they have to work with. Thanks again for all you do, much appreciated.
